Chris Heckert
Senior Managing Director, M&A
Chris Heckert serves as industry leader of the Engineering, Contracting and Construction sector at Generational. He is also a Senior Managing Director and Supervising Principal of Generational Capital Markets
Mr. Heckert works directly with his private middle market clients in the preparation, marketing and sale of their businesses as well as the management, supervision, and compliance of the firm and its broker dealer activities. He also serves on Generational Equity’s M&A Executive Committee and leads the firms Houston office.
In addition to his over 15 years of experience selling privately held companies across the US and Canada, he has been a private business owner and investment advisor. To date Mr. Heckert has directly contributed as lead dealmaker, supervising dealmaker, and supporting dealmaker to over half a billion dollars of client transactions.
Mr. Heckert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, attended the SMU Dedman School of Law, and holds series 7, 24, 63, 79, and 99 licenses. Over his career at Generational Mr. Heckert has been awarded ten M&A Advisor awards including M&A Deal of the Year, Corporate Strategic Deal of the Year, Private Equity Deal of the Year, International Corporate Strategic Deal of the Year and was recognized as a 40 Under 40 recipient.
When not working with clients he is active at his children’s schools, sports teams, volunteers with local charities and spends time with his wife and two daughters.
